This classic design is a brilliant basic stitch for absolute beginners and is a personal favourite due to its versatile qualities. Once the weaving technique is mastered, spatial arrangement of colours can produce simple variety or complex patterns when the chains are joined together in multiples. The example below shows 3 chains joined.

The kit includes BB1 and is available in a choice of colours and different sized beads. Size 8/0 beads produces a chunky chain which is effective as a piece of jewellery. Size 11/0s produce a fine chain which lends itself to further development by joining chains to produce more elaborate and ambitious projects.
